my thirst for scourgecest has been so real recently
like yeah it’s perfectly fun to have terezi and vriska snap at and argue with each other
but aus where they trust each other with their respective lives and take care of each other with an ‘us against the world’ mentality are so satisfying
like to have them stick together, even after maiming each other
(basically i wish i got more vriskas with my scourge sisters gang au prompt)
that’s not even mentioning the femjohns.
Can we please stop equating being feminine to being submissive and can we also stop making male characters incredibly feminine in personality and appearance for the sole reason of having them be submissive because that is so fucking gross
And if you have a crossdressing kink that’s fine, but you need to think about how you’re portraying those characters. It is gross and sexist as hell if you use feminine imagery to humiliate or degrade male character and/or turn them ‘submissive’.
I think I’m going to make a prompt based off this ahaha
1.) If anyone knows the original artist, please let me know! A friend sent the file to me not a link I could track.
2.) Is he running on a gun/cannon barrel?
i’m about 90% sure the original frames were from FLCL
sigh the ‘no autoing daves bro as abusive’ thing bothers me and here is why
- bro kept around sex toys
- bro didn’t keep around food
- bro kept dave always on edge, made him paranoid, and purposely freaked him out with sneak attacks and traps
- dave was under the impression that bro might be filming him
this is in canon. this doesn’t have shit to do with sburb, doesn’t even begin on the comedic shit homestuck has like throwing a baby off a roof or sword fighting with a literal child, it’s about what bro was like a guardian, from dave’s perspective.
and saying this shit isn’t abusive is disingenuous as fuck
it can bother you, sure
you’re allowed to be bothered by this sort of thing, but i’m not entirely sure that it couldn’t also be a matter of perspective considering that homestuck is, by and large, a comedy
phallic puppets? refrigerator full of shitty swords? ‘intimidating older brother’ trope turned up to eleven?
i take those kind of things as jokes, and they only turn into an issue when people use them as vehicles to fetishize abuse or have a quickpass to touchy-feely hurt/comfort RP/fanfic/what have you
and the REASON that i take them as jokes are because i primarily play lalondes (ie literally every single one of them) and yet no one i’ve rped with has ever, EVER autoed any member of that family as having serious issues with alcohol abuse when there is far more canon evidence for that than there is that bro is abusive or that alpha bro would be neglectful
(well, i don’t get autoed with this sort of thing outside of parp. there, everyone constantly assumes roxy is drunk and reeks like booze no matter how you play her, but hey. i’m a paragraph rper so i’ll stick to what i’m used to experiencing)
so what i’m saying is that it kind of comes down to another excuse for strider manpain in most instances, where people have already found plenty and we really, really don’t need any more
my 2 cents, mostly thinking out loud here
if you place Dave in slytherin im going to automatically assume your characterization is terrible
hufflepuff dave/roxy or N O T H I N G
When someone rips off your prompt
When someone rips off your prompt and does a terrible job of it
"au in which i describe who you play and exactly how you’ll play them in the ooc before i even talk about my character"
ah yes, this sounds like it allows for plenty of engaging creativity thank you
ew did anyone else see a male-centric OITNB prompt up like I just did? i hope whoever took it shamed that person because that’s rly gross. turning fantastic female-centric stories into gross male-centric ones just for your yaoi needs.
i can’t judge animal hybrid prompts too harshly since i get why they’re popular but
can you at least research whether or not your animal “goes into heat” and how it works
